2020 has no doubt been a tough year for everyone, but as for celebrities; they’re opening up about addiction and sobriety in this tough year. Behind closed doors where no one sees them, many of these celebrities are struggling with alcohol, drugs, and other substances that are keeping them down. They struggle alone, without anyone knowing, and without any help.

A lot of these celebrities are starting to open up about their battles. As our attitudes change on addiction, depression, and other mental health issues; more and more people are looking to get help and be more open. This includes A-listers who have struggled for some time but have yet to open up about the issues.

Some of those who are speaking out about the pandemic and the issues they’ve faced include Miley Cyrus, Dax Shepard, Elton John, Heather Locklear, and Jessica Simpson.

Having struggled with alcohol, Jessica Simpson admitted she needed help after getting ready for a Halloween party the previous year and she started drinking at 7:30 in the morning. She didn’t know who got the kids ready, or even who set up during the day. She knew she needed help.

Elton John stated that if he didn’t get help for his addictions, he’d be dead by now. He thought the pandemic would push him behind, and it almost did but he knew that after 30 years of sobriety, he had to stick with it.

Even Brad Pitt admitted that he had an alcohol problem. He credits Bradley Cooper for becoming sober. He says he couldn’t be happier with the choice he made to become sober and be happier.
