The model and socialite son of supermodel Stephanie Seymour and businessman Peter Brant died suddenly on Sunday of an accidental overdose. “We will forever be saddened that his life was cut short by this devastating disease” – Harry’s family said in a statement.

Harry was known for pushing the boundaries of gender stereotypes and modeled for Italian Vogue. Along with his brother, Peter Brant II, he founded a unisex makeup line with MAC.

He had reportedly struggled with addiction for several years. His passing comes just days before he was to get into rehab after dealing with addiction issues.

Found dead in his New York home, his parents believe the accidental overdose was due to prescription drugs. They were hoping for their son to get rid of his drug problems and return to his career in publishing. In his teenage years, he had explored journalism as a career prospect and wrote a column for Interview magazine.

Harry and his brothers were regulars in the celerity party scene since they attended the MET gala at the age of 16. The New York Magazine had labeled the boys as the “most beautiful teenage brothers”. Their mother Stephanie Seymour was one of the original Victoria’s Secret Angels and former girlfriend of Axl Rose of the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses.

Harry, born in 1996, spent his childhood in the media spotlight. He ran into scandal when he was arrested in 2016 for not paying a cab fare and then getting charged with grand larceny and drug possession.
