The former Friends star, Matthew Perry, 51, proposed to girlfriend Molly Hurwitz whom he began dating in 2018. Hurwitz, 29, is a literary manager. Matthew is best known for his role as the loveable and sarcastic “Bing” on Friends.
Hurwitz posted a heartfelt message to Perry on Valentine’s Day this year on her private Instagram. Perry joined the social media platform shortly after.
Perry is busy with the highly anticipated Friends reunion set to be on HBO MAX in March 2021. He is also busy working on a film called “Don’t Look Up” co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep. He is now busy planning a wedding!
Perry has never been married. He has famously struggled with addiction and once said, “I don’t remember three years of Friends because of drugs”. He says that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol most of the seasons 3 through 6.
This was revealed in an interview when he was asked to name his least favorite episode of the show. “I don’t remember three years of it”, he responded, “so none of those”.
He entered rehab during Season 7 of Friends and has been candid about his struggles with Vicodin and alcohol.
Perry received a Champion of Recovery Award in 2013 from the White House Office of the National Drug Control Policy for opening Perry House, a sober living home situated in his former mansion in Malibu California.
Perry has called Hurwitz, “the greatest woman on the face of the planet” and says he would like children.
