Jackson, 23, a musician and the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, appeared on Red Table Talk hosted by Willow Smith. On the June 16th episode on Facebook Watch, she had a conversation with Smith explaining how her sexuality is “not really accepted” in her family.
She also said “we don’t talk about it” (referring to her family). Jackson is very close with her famous family, especially her brothers. She explained how she figured out her sexuality while learning to “respect” her family’s beliefs”.
Jackson came out as bisexual at the age of 14. She split from her boyfriend Gabriel Glenn in August 2020, and according to friends, “Paris is in a good place and she is focused on paving a positive path forward.”
From modeling to acting, and music, the daughter of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe, has suffered drug abuse and several suicide attempts. Her famous father died when she was 11 and he was 50 years old.
Four years after the death of her father, Jackson attempted suicide via a drug overdose. Jackson later told Rolling Stone magazine that going to a rehab center in Utah was “great for me”.
Jackson opened up about her struggles and explained that a lot of unhealthy things for her caused a dopamine release in addition to drugs. She cited self-harm and tattoos as two of them. She explained that these things are often a distraction from emotional pain by causing physical pain and the need to control something in your life.
Jackson finds joy in her music and feels gratitude for her journey through “listening to these songs and seeing the development and the evolution”
