Ronald J. Ortiz-Magro Jr. is an American television personality, best known as one of the eight main cast members of the MTV reality series Jersey Shore.
He spent a month at HeadWaters at Origins treatment center in West Palm Beach, Florida a few years ago for alcohol abuse and depression. “I decided to go to treatment because I wanted to be a better person, a better father for my daughter”, he said at the time.
“Eventually all the bad decisions I was making were going to lead me to places I didn’t want to be. I wanted to be led to the place that I am now – that’s happy, healthy, and the best role model for my daughter”.
Ortiz-Magro has also had issues with domestic violence in the past with more than one girlfriend. Many of these episodes were documented on the show multiple times. There were a lot of on-air fights including one where he tried to throw a girlfriend’s bed out the window with her still in it. He also decided to “seek medical treatment for mental health issues while in treatment for alcohol abuse. “They are mental health issues I’ve ignored for too long”, he said.
What’s he doing now? He’s opening a sneaker store there called Sneaker Clinic. “I felt like I needed a change of scenery and a change of just pace in my life, so I decided to move from LA to Miami,” said Ronnie, who was shown recently talking to a real estate agent and interacting with daughter Ariana.
